The method chosen to decide just
which of the feathered tribe will be .
chosen to represent our state is es-.
pecially commendable. It is an educational measure. The casting cf ballots in the schools wiil encourage
the students to familiarize them-.
selves with the various species of
bird life in California. :
On Tuesday, Mareh 12, the
student body of the high school voted its opinion as to which bird it
wanted to represent the state. The
bird having the largest number of
votes was the Vailey Quail, the western bluebird came second.
