If he were sticking to his job and up against it, I would thave .} issued an order on the Nevada City Sanitarium to accomodate his wife during her confinement, ‘whether or not he was a CIO. Members of the /board do give such aid with the proviso that when the'man is able, he repays the county. Some of them repay, and some of them don’t. But here was a man who had 'thrown up his job anid now asked the county to take care of his wife and expected baby. I did not think we had a right to spend the tax payers money in that way.
