FRIEZ AUTOMATIC RAIN GAUGE AT CAMPONVILLE CAMPTONVILLE, March 17.— The report of the local U. S. Weather Bureau discloses 66 inches, of inches of rainfall to the present time. Such record is kept by Fores: Ranger Frank W. Meggers at the local service headquarters for the weather bureau, and is recorded daily by.the new Friez automatic rain guage installed this fall. This new gauge records by. weight and makes an ink graph for each week, ‘and is supposed to be a very accurrate instrument. J. A. Gilmore of Pike City has kept a weather record for many years, and at the present time the rainfall recorded by him exceeds the local. precipitation by about an inch. Normal rainfall for this section is 65 inches. In the past years, the lowest record was 21 inches during a dry season, and 109 inches was the heaviest precipitation.
