Officer Artiur Barrich for riding in

while intoxicated. Murry who was

charge and was fined $20.

Construction of the debris dam at.
the Lava Cap mine southeast of Nevada City has ‘been held up ‘the past
six weeks due to almost continuous
storms. Mining and development continue as usual the company -having
258 men on the payroll.
Work on the dam will be resumed in two weeks. The stream drains
into Bear river. The dam is being
built at the insistence of the P. G.
& E as it pollutes Bear river.
FLOOD CONDITIONS IN SOUTH
Glen Cleland and C, E. Bosworth
returned Tuesday from a weeks visit
in Southern California. They drove
through the inland route Hollywood. They found flood conditions
not as bad as reported. While there
were severe damages in many places
