of the 19387 motor vehicle license
plates renewal was reduced $32,500
by the use of California Highway
Patrol offices and the establishment
of fourteen temporary branch offices of the Department of Motor Vehicles in Southern California, Howard EB. Deems, registrar of vehicles,
announced today.
The saving was effected,
said, by handling 520,000 plates
over the counters of these offices.
