was reported missing to the sheriff’s
office last week, has been seen wandering
seemingly dazed condition.

sheriff’s office Wednesday that he

A story reached this city, last
week that Wade had sold a mine
claim at. Placerville and when he
reached Sacramento in a car, he stepped out and was either knocked unconscious or killed by a_ passing
truck: It is now stated that it was
another Wade that was injured in an
auto accident.

Fred Wade was seen by acquaintlances yesterday in the Nevada City
jungles. He has been missing for
several days.and Sheriff Tobiassen
had a search made in Placerville.
'He was reported to have been seen
by friends in Sacramento, wandering in the streets in a dazed condition. How he returned to Nevada
City, no one seems to know. He has
a half brothér living in Placerville.
