old coins. There are over 200 coins:
in the collection including coins from

It is much larger than the present
day quarter and thinner. The marks
are very plainly visible which is remarkable “for its age. There is another piece of the same denominaion, of 1818. It is the same size as
the older one. Among. the 50 cent
pieces are the dates 1829 and-1838.
Another oddity among the coins
was a 20.cent piece of 1875. It was
slightly smaller than the present day
quarter, Several 3 cent pieces made;
of silver and smaller . but . thinner .
than the dime of today drew our)
attention.
There are also in the collection
several coins from the Philippines
and Hawaiin Islands.
Besides the coins Mr. Meyers has
a jJarge number of paper currency.
The larger portoin of the currency

piece on the City of Albany dated
1862.
Mr. Meyers has had many offers
for his collection but refuses to-part
with it.
