Both men are pensioned employees of the Southern Pacific Railroad, and had been friends and lived together for 45 years. Saunders, is 69 years of age, while the injured man is 68. It is alleged that during a drinking bout Thursday night, the men quarreley, and during the fray 3ennett apparently rapped on the head severely with a bludgeon of some sort.
