FAST GAME ON
HI GRID TODAY
Nevada City High’s gridiron will
be the scene of a hot pigskin battle
this: afternoon when the eleven graduating gridders meet ‘the present
high school varsity in four quarters of fast and furious civil war. In
the line of regular spring practice,
it was felt that such a game would
bring out the good points in the
high school men who are candidates
for the varsity squad, and would
also prove of’interest to any fans
who enjoy the game.
An admission, charge of ten cents
for all was decided upon to build
the fund which will be used in the
construction of bleacher seats at the
high school field. The addition of
such seats. will make the future foot
ball seasons more convenient for local patrons and should result in better attendance at games.
The tentative line up for the present varsity candidates is as follows: Re, Pereb; RT, Bennett; LT,
Odgers; RG, Doolittle, E; LG, Barry; C, Tobiassen; LE, Bonner; Q,
Jones, L; LH, Harding; RH, Joyal;
F, Burgan,
The eleven graduates who will
play their last game of Nevada City
high football wre the following: Elliott, Lopez, \Doolittle, Roberts,
Small, Budie, Wilde, J. Stephens,
Steger, D. Jones Stevens.
The starting whistle will be blown
