A brief hisbe y was written with ihe cooperation of the pupils, several “4 of the community and the Next, — SS with the following mediums and methods: water color; crayon, colored chalk, pencil. spatter painting and finger painting. There was also a large collection of the wild flowers of~the region, pressed, mounted andidentified as to family, genus and species. A collection of pupils’ paintings and drawings of the birds of AlNleghany was also shown, Pupils: of Alleghany elementary school: Rosebud Clemens,, Wilma Clemens, Reginald Clemens, Shirley Hart, Stanley Hart, June Adair Hunley, John Robbins. Willard Van Doren, Wayne Brooks, Kenneth Bruning, Ronald Clemens, Inez Van Doren, Elaine Bruning, Marilyn Hart, John Van Doren, Richard Van Doren, Gerald Sanders, Sharon Strotneider, Sandra Whitman, Teacher, Mrs. Lilian Boot. Both the teacher and the pupils deserve great credit for the display of their work which was .very good. An aftenoon and also an evening display or exhibit was held, and was .
