Sheriff Stanley N. McCormick and

Chales J. Perkins’ court. The warrant was read charging them with
the fatal shooting of Earl Griffith
and wounding of Thomas Lambert,
Washoe County, Nevada, deputy
sheriffs, April 29, near Peavine, Sijerra County quarantine station. The

week that their late son, Carl L. Tobiassen had . been posthumously
awarded the Silver Star with a cita-,

District Attorney Alfred R. Lowey appeared for Sierra County at the

no attorney and Smith stated that

court on the charge, but would enter
a plea of guilty and take the conse. . quences. He was paroled June
1946, from the Walla Walla, Washington penitentiary where he served
