Better camping, equipment, spirit, cooperation and program, were displayed at this the first ‘‘wilderness camporee”. Hatch, Vincent Brundage, Ken Reynolds and Jack Gordon had charge of scout demonstrations. NEW JUDGE TRIES. HIS FIRST CASES: Judge J. M. Inman, who’ was recently made judge of the superior court of Sierra. county, presided for the first time in the old courthouse in the Downieville court. He tried and found guilty on a second degree burglary count, Harry Clark of Loyalton. Clark was sentenced to an indeterminate one to fifteen year period at. San Quentin, where he was taken by SheriffW. D. Johnson. William Queener and William Tyler were charged and found guilty of the possession of. stolen goods. Queener, who is only fifteen years . old, was sent home to his parents in the state of Washington, since this was his first offense, Tyler, eighteen was committed to Preston school of Industry for three years.
