TENNIS MATCHES
The boy’s tennis team went to
Grass Valley on Wednesday to play
in the county tennis matches against
Grass Valley.
The results were as follows. Doolittle was defeated by Johns with a
score of 6-1, 6-1; McCraney was defeated by Pelago 6-1, 6-1; Muscardini was defeated by Eva 6-4, 6-1;
Mitchell was defeated by Tobias 64, 6-4. Martin and Ruth drew byes
and will play later in “the match.

Ladies Aid Society
Installs Officers
The Ladies Aid Society of the
Methodist church held installation
of cficers Wednesday afternoon
with Rev. H. H. Buckner acting as
installing officer. The impressive
candle light service Was carried out
in the election. Mrs. W. E. Johnston
was re-elected president and has as
assistants Mrs. Paul Snyder, vice
president; Mrs. Paul Phariss, secretary -treasurer. The three ‘circles releected presidents and they are as:
follows, Mrs.

Catherine McQuay sweetly sang two

The groom has resided in Nevada
City about eight years and holds a
