The elevator process of hydraul‘lic mining bas been estab at
the N Bloomfield mine, and it
is an assured success.
. It is not many weeks since the
Appeal sneered at the steps being
taken by the North Bloomfield
Company to lawfully work their
claim, saying that the elevator
plan would not accomplish the
desired end because water could
not be made torun up hill. The
Appeal now seems to have found
out that water can be made to run
up hill as daily demonstrated at
the North Bloomfield mine since
the elevator was completed. ~

A Good Chance,
The Marysville Democrat says
that a real estate agent of that
place has for sale “a plot of 523
acres of land, in ‘Nevada county,
twenty miles’ from Marysville,
which can be bought for$5 per
acre. It‘is now covered with timber, but when cleared will make

a little capital is one that should
