A Truckee dispatch says: ‘‘Jobn Flynn, an old soldier and member of the Grand Army of the Republic, was found dead in the river ‘Coroner Weller had him buried without a coffin or shroud on, the river bank. Mr. McDonald; of the Prosser Creek Ice Company, had the body exhumed and reported the fact to the General Berry Post of this town. The Marysville Appeal says: The elevator process of hydraul‘lic mining bas been estab at the N Bloomfield mine, and it is an assured success. . It is not many weeks since the Appeal sneered at the steps being taken by the North Bloomfield Company to lawfully work their claim, saying that the elevator plan would not accomplish the desired end because water could not be made torun up hill.
