GRASS VALUPY: Isaac J. Barnard, for 20 years auditor and office
manager of the Empire Sta Mines
Comipany died early Tuesday morning in a Nevada City hospital. Hooper and Weaver Mortuary has charge
of the remains. 5
Barnard was born in Salina, Utah,
69 years ago. He leaves his wife,
Mrs. Margaret Barnard, and a daughter Miss: Margaret Barnard, Miss
Barnard was recently®* assigned to a
post as secretary of the American
embassy in Costa Rica. It. is’ expects
ed she will fly to Salt Lake, Utah,
from Washington, D. €. Fumerai
services will be held there for her
father, sometime this week.
Prior to assuming his duties with
the Empire Star, Barnard: was .employed for many years with the U.
£. Smelting Company at Bureka;:
Utah. He was a member of the Ma-'
sonic lodge in that city.

GRASS VALLEY: Everett and
Roy Cunningham, Nevada county
dairy, it was stated yesterday, have
purchased a purebred Guernsey Huil
from George Ellsworth of the Barnegat Ranch at: Indian Springs.
. ! The bull will be used to impove
the dairy herd on the Cunningham
Ranch. The animal is a s0n of Barnegat Antila 2nd, two times a California state chamipion and class leader in production. The two nearest
dams of the new bull are all Gmernsey class leaders and state champions.

is visiting her father Al Huson, of
this city.
