Mr. Develey visited his parents in Alleghany a part of Sunday. Mrs. Johnson and iMr. and Mrs. Becker motored to San Sunday and decorated graves of loved ones. : Mrs. Blanche Neaves came down from near Oroville and spent the week end with her daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Foote and children. Carl and Norman Foote and Albert Pratti spent the week end bass fishing south of Sacramento. The water is high and cold but it is expected the season will be much better a little later on. You will find published herewith an official notice of the dates of the various judgings and the rules‘ and regulations and prizes. The Grass Valley and Nevada City units of the association are now Cooperating with the Auburn branch and we may be assured of a most lovely and dignified spectacle with some of the lovliest girls of the Mother Lode who will participate in this unique and beautiful part of the Gold Rush Revival. Each of the dis« tricts will choose four girls from those who appear dt the various theatres on the dates set forth giving twelve in all for the finals. Booth, contractor, came up from the bay district today and with Mr. Corbett went to the» Omega mine and from there will ski to their property the Last Chance mine located five miles above the Omega property on the South Fork of the Yuba river, The property was closed during the winter. Fine ore has been taken out of over 3,000 feet of tun nels on the 120 acre property. One tunnel including cross cuts is in about 600 feet. Mr. Booth has followed mining for years and grubstaked one of the discoverers of Goldfield, Nevada. DANCE.
