TRAFFIC MENACE
ON HIGHWAY T0
BE ELIMINATED
Street Superintendent Herbert
Hallett and crew will make improvements in the northern part of the
city during the winter. A rough strip
of roadway across and northeast of
the Dr. A. H. Tickell home is to be
cut down in the spring with the assistance of the state division of
highways according to present plan.
This “hump” is eight feet at the
highest point and is bad for cars
making the turn from the TahoeUkjah highway into the county hospital road. The.sewer lines and the
water mains will be dug out and
placed deeper in the earth. The season is too short this fall to attempt
muddy strip for winter travel.
