Water troubles were the cause of the -elosing of the properties at the time. Pumping facilities have been installed in the Red Cloud shaft and development work is being continued. The Minarets county has been taken over by the same interests and will be leveloped for zine and lead. MARIPOSA COUNTY _ There are prospects: for developing the Argo gold mine, a former producer. SS ransees ea Some of the’ ranchers’ in the southwestern part of the county are asking ‘tthe supervisors. for a new road between Higgins Corners and Spenceville to tie in with the new Bull Creek ore has been road which is being built from Wheatland to the Nevada county line. This will make it easier for the ranchers to get out to Wheatland and the lower country to do their trading. Harry Sandow of San Franeisco visited relatives in Nevada City during the last few days, Harry E.
