Hold Annual Safari
Last Wednesday the ladies of the

i of Mrs, H. H. Buckner. The meeting
convened at 11 a. m. and continued
through out the day with a delicious luncheon served at 12:30 by the
committee in charge.
The purpose of the meeting was
to acquaint the women of the church
with the great scope of work and the
many fields to which the church ministers. Different women of. the

MURCHIE MINE
Ore is being developed on the 800
and 1150 foot levels in the Murchie
mine east of Nevada City. Some diamond drilling is being done in the
lower levels, The shaft is down about
2600 feet. It is reported the mill is
now running two shifts.
KELLER MINE
Arrangements have been completed to operate the Keller mine at
Graniteville all winter. All supplies
have been trucked to the mine and
some new equipment was also taken
in. Mr. VonGurletz and three men .
are developing the property. .

NOTES

The high school choruses have
been practicing very enthusiastically
for the past week. They sang for the
Rotary club yesterday. They will
sing for the Parent. Teacher’s Association this afternoon and __ this
evening they will entertain the adult
chorus at night school.
They have worked very hard and

The girls’ chorus will sing “Autumn”
“The Conquerors”’ and ‘‘The Sleigh’’.
The whole chorus will sing ‘‘Vanka
nm Tanka,’’. “Cousin Jettediah”’,
“Drink to Me Only with Thine Eyes,
“Here’s to Nevada City High School”
and “Hail California.” The 23rd of
November the chorus will entertain
the student body. After they return
from Thanksgiving vacation the
chorus will start Christmas music.
