Dunn of San Francisco and Miss Isabelle LaPoere of Berkeley were visitors here this week end, P. C. Lanton of Oakland came up Friday enroute to Alleghany. Misses Edith and Irma Penaglia and Vera Peggia accompanied by Mr. Warner of Sacramento were visiting here Sunday. Mrs. Victory Reggi, Lester Martin and Lawrence Penaglid also visited here. All are former residents. Miss Carmel Raeder and brother, Howard, of Sweetland were visitors here one evening this week. Ernest Collins of French Gap was a visitor here recently. Mrs. Henry Huckins left Tuesday for Camptonville on a visit to her daughter, Mrs.A. M. Cleveland and family. Joe Lavezzola of Downieville fas visiting friends here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Andersen of Berkeley came up Sunday for’ a visit to her brother, Henry Huckins. They were accompanied by Patrick H. Hanrohan and friend of Oakland. Miss Mae Lohman ¢ame in from Escalon Tuesday and is here at her home on Cherokee street. George McCullough, who has been confined to the Nevada City sanitar:ium for the past week was brought ;home one day this week and is ifeeling better although he is still . very weak. He will be confined to his home for a while yet. All Mr. McCullough’s many friends wish him ® speedy recovery and hope to see him around again real soon. Mrs. James Phelan and mother, Mrs. Edith Flyn of Tyler were Sun‘day visitors here. Mrs. I. W. Musfield Homer, were county ‘one day this week. Earl Ricard is driving the Fischer stage and we are all glad to see Mr. ; Richards as he always has a big smile and word of cheer for everyone. Frank Klenzendorfer was a visitor here from Camptonville one day this week. Mrs. Chas. Jones’ of Sweetland came up Thursday to attend the ladies’ aid meeting held here. Ed Clymo and Mr. and Mrs, Frank Bobb of Sweetland were visitors here this week. Well, we all welcome the late rain and it sure came as a life sayer to all the ranchers on the ridge. There has been considerable auto travel since the Yuba Pass has been made an all year highway and it looks like summer time te see the cars. GRASS VALLEY PERSONALS Mr. and Mrs. Lucious. CALIFORNIA a Sin at NOVEMBER 19, 1926 SHAKESPEARE CLUB IS RESUMING WEEKLY MEETINGS CAMPTONVILLE, Nov. 16,—The Camptonville Shakespeare and Current Event Club came to life again Saturday evening, at a meeting held at the Groves home on Spring street The Club has been dormant for several months, due to the members being busy and uhable to attend to it, but now meetings will again be resumed, and Shakespeare will be quoted frequently, with the usual current event, local and foreign, being brought up. Aside from the literary work, the dent, Mrs. Fred H. Butz; Vice President, Mrs. Acton M. Cleveland; Treasurer, Mrs. Frank M. Groves; Secretary, Mrs. Kate Hope Livingston.
