enjoyed a party at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Gates Saturday

was held, reports of several committees were received and the date of
the annual Christmas party was set

AETNA PROPERTY
Garesio Brothers are repairing
and retimbering the 227 foot shaft
on their father, Valey Garesia’s
property the Aetna, four miles west
of Nevada City on the Downieville
highway and two miles beyond Indian Flat. It has been worked since
the 80’s and carries a reported past
production record of $10,000.

WAITE PROPERTY
The Waite property of several
hundred acres. located west of the
old Champion mine west of Nevada
City was.taken under lease recently
by associates of the Atlas Dredging

on Deer Creek. Drilling is being done
to test gold values in the gravel. Ben
Waite resides on the old home place
and is one of the owners.
SUNFLOWER PROPERTY
John Blair has dewatered the 100
foot shaft on the Sunflower property
and is cleaning it out for an all seasons operations. A. new compressor
has been installed and three men are
employed.

Knickram and his sister Mrs. Hazel

Mrs. Mabel Hamilton opened her
Wonder Art and Gift Shop, in the
Suss building at the foot of Boulder
street, last Saturday. She teaches
fancywork. Mrs. Hamilton has come
to Nevada City to make her home and
is delighted with the city.

end guests Mrs. Denny’s_ son, and

of Berkeley-will spend Thanksgiving

The twenty first annual Boys Conference will be held at the Nevada
City high school December 4. ‘The
