I wonder if King Winter isn’t somewhat annoyed to find
fresh young grass growing upon the terrain which he would
like to cover with a cold, white mantle of snow. However, that
is the experience which faces him: year after year in this miracle land by the western sea. Perhaps he is used to it — he
should be by this time.

Two trespassers, who claimed innocence because they did mot know
government land line boundaries,
have been required to pay triple
stumpage rates fr Christmas trees
cut without a permit during the current Christmas tree gathering period. ;

Tahoe City last month, tfter having

On November 18, Louis Euer of
