Annual Gola Product.
From the last annual report of
-. Hon, J. H. Kimball, Director-General of the United States Mints,
we find that the gold productions
of California for the fiscal year
ending June 30th, 1885, was only
$13,600,000, as against $16,600,000
for the previous fiscal year, showing a falling off-of $3,000,000. This
production included the clean-up
of the bedrock’ from the! North
Bloomfield, Milton and_ other
mines enjoined by Judge Sawyer.
Since the end of the fiscal vear of
1885 this source of gold supply has
been cut off; and now ' the Eureka
Lake Company, one of the largest
producersin Nevada county, has
discharged its force, ceased operations and thrown many men out
ofemployment. This will tell on
the gold product for the calender
year 1885, as will soon be shown
by the annual statement of Wells, .
