NEGATIVE VOTE NO MENACE TO GAS TAX FUND Safety of ciactiow ax money against diversion has in no way been affected by defeat of Proposition No. 10 at Tuesday’s election, Arthur H Breed, president of the California State Aptomopile Association emphasized in a statement today. The former state senator and author of the gasoline tax and other motor vehicle laws, in behalf of the motorists’ organization, which. led the fight against the measure, said: “The rejection of the proposal at the hands of the voters can n6t in any sense be regarded as an expression by the people on the subject of = PAGE. econ ‘tax diversion. es jeg “The measure was defeated for the very reason that it failed to present a clean cut issue with respect to the gasoline tax, but contained doubtful and ill-advised provisions entirely foreign to that subject. _ ‘With the measure defeated, the lines in defense of gasoline tax money remain as strong and as unified as ever. The Automobile Association will continue its active leadership in that cause.’ : FINE WATCH REPAIRING Radio Service and AIRING Work Called ‘for and Delivered ‘Clarence R.
