LOS ANGEL BS, 13.—Three Hided Cross Work Left In Good Hands Mrs. Orlando McCraney is enroute to New York, driving with her nephew, who has been visiting the west coast the past few weeks. While her associates in the Red Cross production room in the National Hotel are a schools in oles ‘aunty have . received allotments of NYA student} work funds tetellinge $1.1°4 to finance part-time employment of needy students for the coming academic, year, according to Robert Wayne Burns State Youth Administrator. This marks the seventh year Ne. vada County high school students . have been helped to continu their . ‘education through ‘the cooperative . action of the schools and the National Youth Admini stratoin for California. : Work projects for needy students will be planned and operated by the schools, Burns reports. Students who want NYA work may file application with their school officials, who will “select NYA workers on the basis of need and ability. Students must be between the ages of 16 and 24 inelusive, and must-be citizens or owe allegiance to the United ‘States, according to Burns. They may earn from $3 to $6 per week. The high schools which have been allotted funds for the coming year are: Grass Valley, Nevada City, and Mt. St. Mary’s Academy at. Grass Valley. During the 1940-41 school year an average of 32 students in ‘these three schools worked on NYA student work projects. FINAL CITY TAX DAY TOMORROW .
