Holds Rosebud Luncheon
The Laides’ Aid Society
Methodist church held their
Rosebud. luncheon at one o'clock
yesterday afternoon in the ehureh
parlors. At this meeting recognition
was made of the rosebuds, and at
the close of the afternoon, thé members drew new names for the next
year.

Grass Valley, who were responsible
for the placing of a huge granite
marker with a gold nugget crown of
the site ‘of the first discovery of
lode gold in California, will be in}
charge of the exercises, two years after the placing of the marker, Sun-!
day afternoon, October 29 at 2 Dp.

Gold Hill, within a half a mile of the
