ms, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 3. 1946 PAGE FOUR NEVADA CItY-NUGGET Cabin Of Late Bill Ebaugh Destroyed The State Division of Forestry reports that cabin that formerly beSenged to the late Bill Ebaugh in Willow Valley was burned to the ground Saturday night. The dwelling mow the property of E. T. Dellpazzia the forestry office estimated was worth 0460 and the owner lost $360 . In paper money tucked under his mattress. The late Bill Bbaugh who lived 4m the cabin wrote a lurid charter in Nevada County history two years ago when he was first hunted for slaughtering his neighibors’ cattle and finally was accused of the murder of Henry Lewis, war veteran, wounded, decorated and discharged, While the sheriff and his posse were searching for Bbaugh, Irvin W. Davis a priwate citizen on November 17, 1944 shot and killed him when he refused bo surrender.
