HUGH CLENDENNEN IS BORNE TO REST Hugh Cl@ndennen, passed away Friday evening from an illness of long standing, on Gold-Flat. ~~ “He was born in Ohio 65 years ago, coming to Nevada City when a small child. He has resided in this section more than 60 years. He was an engineer and electrician, Mr. Clendennen was highly respected by a wide circle of friends. Left to mourn his passing are a devoted, wife and one son, Herman Clendennen; a sister,, Mrs. Olive Groves, a nephew, Bill Groves, of Camptonyille; and two nieces, Mrs. Vera Clemo of Grass Valley and Mis.
