The outlook for deer hunting is
very ‘favorable in Shasta County.
Plenty of mature bucks are showing up in. Tehama County, and a
large area burned over in 1940 is at
its best now.
Plumas County—Lots of bucks are
to be seen in most all-areas. All are,
in very good condition, with excep.
tionally large anttlers.
Sierra County— Deer have not
started to rub their antlers as yet. .
All deer are very scattered due to
and feed.
The only concentration found at pre-;
sent is on Treasure Mounttain in back
of Sierraville.
Placer-Nevada Counties—Deer are
plentiful. The area between Truckee
and Loyalton should afford some+#
very good hunting this season. The .
male deer are beginning to rub the
velvet off their atnlers and look io
be in good condition.
Amador County—Lots of deer to
be seen along the roads: There has
been a very good crop of fawns.
