THE NEVADA CITY NUGGET
The large nugget of unusual high
grae picture variety, uncovered recently near Kanaka creek bridge,
just south of Alleghany, was a quartz
specimen of approximately 44 ounces
and not a placer specimen as at first
reported. :
The property on -which the rich
specimen was found, was the Queen
Radigunde, generally known as the
Queen Rad mine, which is bounded
by ‘Sixteen to One, Ophir, Twenty
One, Rainbow Extension and MaripoSa mines. The Queen Radigunde
belongs to Mrs. Elonore E. Hoeft
De Wein of this city.
