Reports 81 Fires
Gordon Vance, fire dispatcher for
4Tahoe National Forest, yesterday reported that to da'tte there have been
81 fires in Tahoe Forest this. season.
Of that number 29 have been at‘tributed to smokers, 18 were due to
miscellaneous causes, railroad engines caused 6, lumber mills 2, camp
fires 9 and debris burning 3. The
total area burned thus far this season is small, Vance stated. It amounts
