A popular
Francisco
way to travel to San
is by the night boats on
the Sacramento tiver operated by the
California Transportation Company,
every night except Sunday. The Pickwick Stage leaving Nevada City at
5:15 p. m. makes direct connection
at Sacramento with the boat leaving
at 6:30 and arriving at San Francis.
rooms are availabe and fine cuisine
is afforded.
The night ride down the Sacramento river is a never to be forgotten
experience to one who has not enjoyed it. On moonlit nights particularly the view from. the broad decks
is indesecribably beaufiful.
If you have never traveled to the
city this way, you should not miss it.

the road to independence.

You cannot lose, because if for any reason you cannot 20
ahead with the plan you can withdraw your money at any
