What a perfectly gorgeous morning. Let’s go for a walk down
Grass Valley’s Mill and Main street’s
and take in some of the. store windows. Let’s take a peek at the Golden Rule window, isn’t it a delight
to the eyes? Look at these caps for
boys in gay colors and guns to go
wit hthem. What a great variety of
things for all. Such values in soaps,
overalls, and soxs for men at the
most reduced. prices. Aren’t these
new prints for aprons marvelous?
Warm sweaters for Ladies and Misses, hats and caps. These are great
values in pocketbooks too and in the
prevailing colors for the season. All
are so neatly trimmed and would
easily pass for expensive purses,
when in reality they cost the buyer
only 69 cents and $1.49
Baby clothes are always lovely,
but they are not always as reasonable in price, as are these. Here is
the dearest set of wooley pink things
_ for the baby, boote’s, cap and jacket
at the low price of $2.49 and such
cute embroidered dresses at only 25
cents. It surely would pay a person
to shop around here for there are
wonderful buys.

Oh, I want to go in here, Where?
Why, my-dear, the Phoenix Drug
Store. They have the most complete
line of drugs, Serfumes, powder'’s
and toiletries and besides one can always find the latest magazines or the
most desired sweets. For myself, I
want a bottle of that lovely Yardley
perfume, I believe the name is
Orchis, some of this Jasmine powder. Isn’t a drug store delightfully
clean and sweet? Here is a_ free
weighing machine. I am going to
weigh myself.
.
Here is Elizabeths Dress Shop.
Hasn't she some lovely new dresses?
.; Woolens and Brocaded silks and all
in the most delightful styles.’ The
colors too are most attractive.
Browns, blues and blacks all made
so decidedly chic that one but sees
them to desire them. They say-she
is a marvelous cresemaker and very
reasonable.
I just love to look in the windows
of Maurice the Photographer, don’t
you? He has quality photography.
Did you ever notice how realistic his
portraits are and hts work on the
large photographs is unexcelled? He
will be a busy man now that Christmas time is not far away. Be sure to
tell your family excellent
workmanship.

It’s getting near noon now, so I
j think we better drop in to the Jack
jO’Lantern Cafe and have one of
their delicious sanwiches and some
chili. They do have excellent coffee too, which I say has a moreish
taste. Everything
is so clean and
neat here that one enjoys every bite.

making and is wonderful at repair
work. I have my sweater over there
being mended now.
Bert’s Dry Goade Store certainly
has a lovely window. I like that black
satin dress with the lovely lace top,
and do look at these darling things
for the baby: Vanta twin wash
clothes and a real vanity for the
baby . containing babies own soap,
Olive oil and babies own sterilized
powder. Aren’t these little pink
robes darling? The tiny crocheted
bootee’s look like they might’ belong
to a doll. They carry a complete line
of baby clothes. In fact, one can
find many beautiful and inexpensive
things in this store and I have alWays been well pleased with all my
buys.
Before we start for home, I want
to drop in to the Jones Drug Store
and get some Honey Du for my
cold. That isi qomething new for
Besides I always take their Norgegian Cod Liver Oil this time of
year, it tones one up for the winter.
Just notice these
fumes they are most delightful, but
this new compact with the two \bottles of perfume by Renaund is quite
the niftiest thing I have seen in
that line. The perfume will not spill
when turned upside down when open
but when touched to the body it
gives down a drop of exquisite
fragrance. Everything in this store
is so complete and satisfactory and
reasonable in price I know you will
want to bring your friends in to see
the various lines.

The latest fad in Paris is jewelry,
watches, bracelets, pins and what
not that milady adorns herself with,
all on native gold. Just a peep in
Hartung’s windows with their metropolitan air and changing beauty
of choice flowers and gems. That fad
naturally takes like wild fire in
places where the natural gold is mined from Mother Earth and Hartung’s is ready to meet the demand.
A peep in their Windows is more
than an eyeful. It’s a temptation, to
which many women, busied now with
all the new things in fall wearing
apparel, shoes, hats and other wearable, very readily succumb.

And just a few doors beyond is
the Vogue Dress [Shoppe, with a
tempting array of the gowns, coats,
jdcquettes, and all the bonny brighi
things autumn brings to bless the
world, where every Woman must—
that’s the word—pause and view the
lovely prospect. There is more than
a touch of modernism about the Vogue Dress Shoppe. It is modern in
every respect, and-one of the pleasantest stores in the Twin Cities in
which to shop. A Jot of girls ana
their mothers have discovered that.
