in the past two weeks. We are fully aware that advertisers are
interested in circulation and we also know that subscribers
are interested in news. Therefore it will be our policy to make
The Nugget newsy and interesting.
In taking over The Nugget we found the mechanical department badly organized, with many small items of equipment
missing. In the past two weeks a great deal has been done in
the way of buying equipment, overhauling machinery, etc.
With the mechanical department functioning more efficiently we expect to meet all competition in the production of
job printing and also get out a better newspaper. We hope to
be able to merit the patronage of local business men and for
every dollar spent with us we promise a full dollar in value.
As we stated in our opening announcement we hope to be
able to produce a paper that will be a creditto Nevada City
and if hard work and strict attention to business will accomee
plish this result we are certain of success.
There is no easy road to success and we have no get-richquick schemes. We will be thankful and appreciate any encouragement in the way of new subscribers or other new business. About the first of October we expect to be in shape to
make a real improvement in The Nugget but, as our plans
are incomplete, we will not make any definite announcement
now.

All these troubles can be removed with Titus-Pearls. Numerous
