ties University of California Alumni Association
Scholarship Committee is
beginning an intensive campaign to build up its funds
for use in the scholarship
program.
The ccmmittee urges all
local alumni to respond
promptly to mailed information so it can be determined how many scholarships will be available from
this area. :
Each scholarship is set at
$400, of which the university contributes one-half.
Student applications are
screened by the university,
but selection of the recipients is made by the local
committee.
The commitfee includes

chairman; Dr. Walter Mullis, Mrs. Charles Haley and
Mrs. William Briggs, Nevada City; Thomas Dargie,
