Comments from Colonel Robert) G.
Ingersoll at the Nevada Theatre.
A believer is a bird in a cage, a free
thinker is an eagle parting the clouds
with tireless wings.
lf a man has loved, and been loved,
although he be a pauper, his life is a
success.
Women have been slaves of slaves, and
it takes millions of years to enfranchise
them; even the ornaments of their
persons are but the badges of servitude.
The golden bracelet was once a
manacle of iron.

Daily Transcript Someone has nipped
our reporters black overcoat, or else he
has left it somewhere about town. Any
information about the matter is just
what he wants to get hold of.
We have missed that coat ever since the
Union editor was here last, and felt
sure he would divulge its whereabouts
when given the opportunity.
March
Chinamen are very fond of chickens,
and they like to have them served up in
almost any style, provided they can get
the fowls. We know it must be so, for
some Chinamen visited the chicken
yard of T.W. Sigourney a few nights ago
and carried off nineteen of his best hens
and roosters.
