Finally, Dom Lindars received our Citizen of the Year award in recognition of his authorship of the recent publication The Ditches of Nevada City that has memorialized the origins and history of the mining ditches that collectively make up today’s water supply for Western Nevada County (see the book review of same by Tanis Thorne herein). Congratulations to each of these award recipients and exemplary volunteers for the well deserved recognition of their contributions to both the Society and for sharing Nevada County’s rich history.
