(President’s Message, Continued from Page 1)
estate that is appropriately sized to accommodate our ambitious view
of what will be needed for a museum of this caliber and size. After all,
most aspects of logging and timbering are large..so we are thinking
a large piece of real estate is needed too! Details are yet confidential,
but the concept involves a land donation (fits our budget for sure!) in
collaboration with a local public agency. Remember that three of our
existing museums are on city owned properties, while we manage,
staff, and operate the museums. This relationship has worked exceedingly well and that fits our mission perfectly.
I hope to report back to you in our Fall News/etter further details of
progress on this exciting project. Meanwhile, if you would like to be
involved in this project, contact me and I will have you added to our
email list of upcoming meeting dates and times.
