200 APRIL 16, 1865 NEVADA TRANSCRIPT south to an oak post by the side of the road, near the fence, twenty rods; thence south forty-nine degrees, east seventeen rods to the north east corner of Hughes garden; thence south thirty-nine degrees west to the corner of Woodworth’s lot, twelve rods; thence along the line of Woodworth’s lot, thirty-seven degrees west thirty-six rods to a post by the side of the road along side of Boston Ravine; thence along the fence forty-seven degrees west eightyeight rods to the corner of the Hughes ranch; thence north fifty-eight degrees west along the line of Hughes’ ranch thirty rods to a post; thence west one hundred and four rods to an oak tree; thence north sixty-eight rods to a post; thence north seventy degrees east seventy-five rods along the line of S. W. Paine’s ranch; thence east eighty-seven rods to the corner of the same; and thence north thirty-four rods to the place of beginning, containing one hundred and fifty and 149-160 acres more or less; excepting such portions or parts thereof as had been sold for building lots on the 25th day of May, 1864. Also, all those certain Mining Claims situated upon Gold Hill in the Township of Grass Valley, commencing at the eastern boundary of the claims owned by William Watt & Co., on said Hill and running thence easterly six hundred feet on the ledge known as the east and west vein, with dips, angles, spurs and variations of the same. Also, all those certain Mining Claims situated on Gold Hill, Grass Valley Township, commencing at a point near Watt’s house, indicated by a stake, and extending northerly upon the ledge known as the north and south vein, with the dips, angles and variations of the same, to a stake in the middle of Rhode Island Ravine. Also, all those certain Mining claims situate on the southerly slope of Gold Hill, Grass Valley Township, commencing at a point near Watt’s house, indicated by a stake, and extending thence southerly upon the continuation known as the north and south vein, with the dips, angles and variations of the same, two hundred and fifty feet to Scadden & Co’s line. Also, those certain Mining Claims, situate in Rhode Island Ravine, Grass Valley township, commencing at the mouth of the Gold Hill Tunnel, and extending thence north westerly to the lode known as the Rhode Island ledge six hundred and thirty-six feet to the southeasterly boundary of Walston’s claims, with the dips, angles and variations. Also, all those certain Mining Claims situate on Massachusetts Hill, Grass Valley township, lying south and east of Chavanne’s ground, and north and west of Cloonen, Watt & Co’s ground the same being an irregular or uneven shape, and about four hundred and fifty feet in width from north to south. Also, those certain other claims on Massachusetts Hill commencing at the southerly line of Cloonen and Watt & Co’s claims above mentioned and extending thence southerly upon the ledge known as the Massachusetts Hill ledge one thousand and fifty feet, with the dips, angles and variations, to a point near and north of the engine house of Scadden & Co. Also, those certain Mining Claims situate upon Cincinnatti Hill, Grass Valley township, commencing at the mouth of a certain tunnel in Attwoods & Irish’s ranch, and running thence eighteen hundred feet westerly upon the ledge known as the Cincinnatti ledge, with the dips, angles and variations of the same. Also, all those certain Mining Claims situated in Attwoods & Irish’s ranch, near and south of J. O’Keefe’s house, the lines and boundaries of said claims being situated by the old garden fence. Also, one hundred feet in that certain lode known as the Potosi Vein, north extension of Rattlesnake vein, about four miles south of th town of Grass Valley, with all dips, angles and variations. Also, all those thirty-four Claims situate on Osborn Hill, Grass Valley township, about three and a half miles south of the town of Grass Valley bounded on the north by the claims of Mrs. Judd and known as the claims of the Jefferson Company. Also all those certain six claims in Mary’s Ravine in Grass Valley Township, lying south of the road leading from Grass Valley to Ophir Hill, and known as the claims of Attwood & Co. Also, one hundred feet in that certain lode known as the —— [sic], near and east of the Monroe lead in Grass Valley township aforesaid. Also, all those certain Mining Claims situated upon Selby Flat, Nevada Township commencing at a point indicated by a stake at the corner of a cabin, and thence running south seventy-two degrees, 30’ east twenty-two hundred feet to a stake at a live oak bush upon the ledge known as the Granite Hill ledge, with the dips, angles and variations of the same, together with all and singular the tenements, heriditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, levied upon and sold to satisfy said judgment, costs, counsel, fees, &c.
