FEBRUARY 8, 1865 [Much of the microfilm is too pale to read.] TO OUR PATRONS. The entire materials, stock and good-will of the Nevada Gazette office have been purchased by the undersigned, who will conduct it as an uncompromising Union journal, and make it as good a newspaper as possible with the means at their disposal. H.R. W. SMITH, I. J. ROLFE, WM. J. BEGGS. BELL.—A handsome bell for the Courthouse has arrived, and will be Temporarily hung on a tower, until a suitable belfry can be built. NEW DRUG STORE—Our young friend William H. Kent has opened a new drug store on Commercial street, a few doors above the Gazette office, and is now ready to serve his friends. His establishment is well filled and tastefully fitted up. THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 1865 [Much of the microfilm is too pale to read.] BORN. At Red Dog, February 4th, to Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Wright, a son. DISMISSED.—In Justice Smith’s Court yesterday, in the case of the people vs. the hurdy gurdies, the defendants were discharged upon payment of costs. RAISED.—The African church has been rescued from its late prostrate and dilapidated condition, and under the hands of skillful workmen is rapidly assuming its former fair proportions. COUNTY COURT.—HON. A. C. NILES PRESIDING—-FEBRUARY TERM.—The Court met yesterday morning when the following business was transacted: Morris vs. Busenius—Appeal dismissed. E. W. Roberts vs. D. A. Howard—judgment for plaintiff. Court adjourned till ten o’clock this morning.
