NEVADA TRANSCRIPT FEBRUARY 15, 1865 91 robbers, which is exercised all over the country, can best be counteracted by a night guard and the liberal use of shot guns. PROTRACTED MEETINGS.—The meetings which have been held every night for the past ten days at the Methodist Church, will be continued during the present week. The congregations are large and considerable interest is manifested. All are invited to attend. PROTECTIVE SOCIETY.—In consequence of a recent attempt to reduce the wages of miners of Moore’s Flat, a meeting was called by the working-men of that place. They organized the “Moore’s Flat Working-men’s Protective Society.” A Constitution and By-laws were adopted, and about fifty signatures were obtained. The following officers were elected: President, Henry Sheafer; Vice President, Charles Bottomley; Secretary, Wm. McNamara; Treasurer, John Shea. NEW STORE!! AND NEW GOODS!! A. H.
