Jury, July 13th; Nevada Water Co. vs. Coffee et als, court, July 26th; Sweeney vs. Garber et als, court, July 27th; Hodge vs. Dunn, court, June 18th; Conaway vs. Topliffe, court, July 24th; Stokes vs. Monroe et als, jury, July 15th; Wood vs. Richardson et als, jury, July 16th; Melbourne et als vs. Henryhan et als, jury, July 18th; Sullivan vs. Lancaster, jury, July 17th; Dreyfuss vs. Bigelow et als, court, July 25th; Eddy et als vs. Gentry et als, June 23d. DEMOCRATIC CLUB MEETING.—At a meeting of the Democracy of Grass Valley, held on Saturday evening, June 8th, at the Howell Zouave Armory, for the purpose of forming a Democratic Club for the ensuing campaign, Dr. Davis was chosen chairman and M. Byrne, Jr., secretary. On motion the chair appointed the following committee to draft a constitution and by-laws for the Club, viz: C. Taylor, J. J. Dorsey and J. K. Byrne. On permanent organization the following committee was selected: C. Reilly, C.R. Clarke, W. S. Byrne, J. E. P. Williams and E. W. Maslin. On motion, the meeting adjourned until Saturday evening, June 15th, at 8 o’clock. WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12, 1867 DOWN THE ROAD.—A number of pleasure seekers last evening went down to the Crandall House, four miles below Grass Valley, on the Crandall road, where with dancing, strawberries and other good things eatable and drinkable, they had a splendid time. McCue’s omnibus carried to and from the Crandall House quite a number of ladies and gentlemen, and many more made the trip in private conveyances. CRONK BEER.—Cool beverages are in active demand in these days of heat, and we find by particular reference to a half dozen bottles of cronk beer, presented us by Mr. B. F. Harris, the manufacturer, that it is a drink most appropriate—pleasant, palatable, exhilarating, and not an “intoxicate” in an ocean full of it. We can confidently recommend it to all G. T’s in good standing. THURSDAY, JUNE 13, 1867 DANCING SCHOOL.—Mr. C. S. Barney, an excellent violinist and a good teacher of dancing, will open a juvenile school at Hamilton Hall, in this place, on Monday, next, 17th inst.
