NEVADA TRANSCRIPT AUGUST 25, 27-31, 1867 231 GREAT REGISTER.—There are 5,588 names on the Great Register of Nevada county up to August 25th. 219 voters have removed from the county. TUESDAY, AUGUST 27, 1867 DIED. At Columbia Hill, August 21st, 186[7], Emily, wife of W. Weighels, aged 40 years. BORN. In this city, August 24th, 1867, to [M. Curtin] the wife of C. Beckman—a daughter. NATURALIZED.—The following persons were naturalized in the County Court yesterday: Richard Ford, Solomon Bell, A. Warren, Edward Sullivan, W. Bennett and Timothy LaDuc. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 28, 1867 COUNTY COURT, Aug. 27th. Wm. Myres, John Wallace and Henry Betton were naturalized. THURSDAY, AUGUST 29, 1867 DIED. In this city, on the 27th inst. Elizabeth Catharine daughter of James and Celia [Cecelia Louisa] Hackley aged 15 months. SMALL POX.—We learn that an Indian boy at the campoody, a short distance from this city, is down with the small pox. During the past week one or two Indians have died, but it is not known whether from this disease or some other. FRIDAY, AUGUST 30, 1867 DIED. In this city, August 29th, 1867, Willie Everett, son of [William] S. and [Annie] E. McRoberts, aged 6 years, 11 months and 26 days. The funeral will take place from the residence of the parents on Broad street, this Friday afternoon at 4 o’clock. CAPTAIN KIDD, of Nevada City, says the Bee, has purchased, for $36,000, a building in Stockton, for the purpose of carrying on the banking business therein. SATURDAY, AUGUST 31, 1867 DIED. In this city, on the 29th inst., Charles E. G. Morse, aged 41 years.
