The Development of New Industries.
EDITOR UNION: In your issue of Thursday last, you come out rather fiercely on people whose
crime it is to introduce or develop in this section of the country, the mining region, new and profitable
industries; minding not whether such people are men or small means and having no capital to develop our
‘very rich’ mines, build up railroads or start factories. You finally wind up by saying: “Let us have more
on the mining question and less about bugs and weeds to help our county.”
