PERSONAL.—Mr. Robert L. S. Hall, formerly President of the Fryer Noble Metal Mining Company, is visiting Grass Valley and receiving a warm welcome from his many friends in this place. Mr. Hall, with his family, will spend the Winter in California, and he may make this state his permanent home. GONE TO EUROPE.—Fred Bamberger, of the firm of Bamberger Bros. has just left for Europe, and will visit England, France, Ireland and Germany for the purpose of buying an extensive stock of Spring and Summer Goods. Bamberger Bros. have already managed to make their own importations, and we need not wonder any longer how they can undersell everybody, and why they do mostly all the business in town in their line. There is always a wheel within a wheel.
