Dale Hafelfinger is candidate Dale Hafelfinger has filed to run for election as Nevada County Supervisor in District At 32 years old, Hafelfinger is the youngest of 11 persons seeking this office in Nevada County. He is a native of Grass Valley and was reared and educated in this area. He resides with his wife and two daughters on. Oak Drive in the Auburn Highway area. Hafelfinger has been employed as a sheetmetal man with Grass Valley Group for the past 7 1/2 years. He has not held a previous public office. Three years ago Hafelfinger joined the Grass Valley Jaycees and has been an active member of that organization. He served as president the last year. Through the Jaycees, Hafelfinger said, he has become more aware of problems in our county. "The Jaycees have given me the opportunity to study different environmental problems found in many communities all over the State of California," Hafelfinger has taken an active part in several issues concerning zoning matters in District I. For the past two years he has been active in the school system. He has been part of a committee designed to evaluate the Pleasant Ridge School system and to establish goals and objectives for the next school year, He issued the following statement in support of his candidacy" "I believe in honest government. I believe there are two Retroactive pay boost must be reported Firms wanting to pay certain retroactive wage and salary increases di: during the freeze must prenotify the Pay Board of the raise, R. F. Harless, Internal Revenue Service district director for Northern California, said today. If the Pay Board does not act within 14 days, the increases may be paid. Harless said the Pay Board must be prenotified of all retroactive Category I pay adjustments. Section 201.13 (b) of the Economic retroactive payment of wages may be made. The director stated the Pay Board must also receive prenotification of any Category II and III pay adjustments which exceed seven per cent that are made under this section. Prenotifications should be sent directly to the Pay Board, 2000 M St., N. W., Washington, D, C. 20508. Notifications should not be sent to the Internal Revenue Service. The 14-day time period does C not begin until the application is received by the Pay Board. The retroactive increases must have been scheduled before November 14, 1971 for services given on or after Aug. Stabilization Act states the conditions under which DALE HAFELFINGER sides to every situation and it has always been my philosophy to hear both points of view. "It should be obvious to many of our government representatives that many people neglect to voice their opinion, for whatever reason, on major issues. It should be the responsibility of the elected representative to establish a strong line of communication with the people he rcpresents. Passing lanes on Route 49 north of Nevada City near the Yuba River bridge will be constructed, The construction will:

Friedman, who received his B, S, and M.S. in Physics from the University of Chicago, has a relatively unique background in advanced technology. He actively participated in the development of nuclear aircraft, nuclear rockets, fusion rockets, and nuclear powerplants for space and earthbound power production. His professional affiliations include: American Physical Society, American Nuclear Society, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the National Investigation Committee on Aerial Phenomena and many others. He has also presented many technical papers at organizational meetings and has also published many technical articles. He has appeared on many UFO expert at Sierra College April 27 TV and radio shows and has lectured at over 100 universities and colleges. Friedman's lecture, "UFC's Are Real", usually plays to capacity crowds. Those interested in the program are advised to reserve tickets early.
