Supervisor Buanallack Appoints Tom Turner To Planning Seat ‘(Continued from Page 1) Bennallack instead named Grass Valley electrical contractor Thomas Lee Turner to replace Peterson. His recommendation was unanimously approved by the supervisors. Atthe same time the supervisors approved the recommendation of District Four Supervisor Don Blake for the reappointment of Bob McWhinney to the commission. The terms of both men expire April 30 and Planning Director Bill Roberts asked the supervisors Tuesday to consider filling the positions before May 1 so there would be no vacancies on the commission. Peterson was appointed to the commission in 1963 and was named chairman late last year to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of chairman Earle Dewing. McWhinney was also appointed in 1963 and was named vice, chairman when Peterson moved up to the chairman's seat. Roberts told the supervisors that both men had been extremely active in the work of the commission and that both had indicated their willingness to serve another four year.term. Bennallack was questioned after the meeting about his reasons for naming Turner-insteadof-reap~ pointing Peterson to the commission. He said he had no special reasons? for the move, Tumer, he said was a friend of his “and has a good head." He added that he thought Turner's experience inthe contracting business would be good back=.
