Permits For Burning
Now Required
NEVADA CIT Y-Ranger Robert Burns of the NevadaYuba Unit, California Division of Forestry, Thursday
announced that burning permits will be required for all
types of burning outside of
incorporated cities after. April 15.
Forestry personnel started
issuing permits on Monday
inthe rural areas. On Sunday, the Nevada City Division of Forestry office will
issue permits.

THREE CHEERS..Foreign students and their families gathered Sunday afternoon
in Memorial Park in Grass Valley to board the bus for Davis. Nearly 100 local
residents were on hand to bid farewell to those taking the bus. They heard the
students give three cheers "to our Grass Valley friends" and responded by applauding the students as the bus departed
