Double check
last minute
tax returns:
Last-minute income tax filers should double check their
returns, since those filed just
before the deadline are much
more likely to contain errors,
R. F. Harless, Internal Revenue
Service district director for
Northern California, said today.
Errors on returns delay processing and any refund that may
be due.
Missing inforn.ation accounts
for many of the errors, Farless
said. This type of error could
be a return received without
a required signature, Social Security number or W-2 statement.
Taxpayers who use the tax
form they received in the mail
can avoid Social Security number
problems, Harless said. These
forms have pre-addressed labels that show the” taxpayer's
name, Social Security number
and address just as they appear
in IRS files.
The label can be lifted off
the form it came on and placed
on the Form 1040 that you file.
Harless advised taxpayers
who have someone help them
with their return to be sure
their pre-addressed label is on
the form they file.

STATE OF CALIFORNIA, COUNTY OF NEVADA
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MINUTES, APRIL 11, 1972
Meeting called to order at hour of 10:07 A.M., all Board
members present,
Following a salute of the flag, the minutes of the previous
meeting were approved unanimously.
The Board adopted the following Resolutions:
72-87 (A Resolution consenting to the execution and recordation of a "Turn around easement" between Norman and LaRue
Brown and the County of Nevada, for Five Needles Court, Ponderosa Palisades West Subdivision, Placer County , California).
The Board accepted a resignation from Mr, Elton F, Williams,
as Constable of the Nevada Judicial District Court, effective
April 30, 1972.
Upon a County Counsel Opinion ruling that the County must
have a "Mental Health Advisory Board" the Board voted unanimously that such a Board be formed within the County of Nevada,
Matter to be discussed next week under Old Business,
The Board discussed correspondence from the Planning
Director with regard to his request for guidance with regard
to certain recent correspondence from county residents requesting name changes and asking for the Board to determine
whether these particular requests should be processed as
soon as possible, filed or incorporated into the proposed master
plan for road names?
The Board indicated that the Planning Department must
research a proposed name to determine if there is any conflict,
After they have researched the name and found that there is no
other conflicting name somewhere else in the County, and if
the people in the area approve of the proposed name, then the
Planning Department is free to proceed through the normal
street naming procedure, The Board indicated that it is imperative to determine that there is no other conflicting name
within the County and stressed that everyone on a street in
question must without a doubt be contacted, not just those
signing a petition for road name change.
The Board approved of the granting of a permit for a
stabilization pond to handle the sewage disposal of a mobile
home park located on the Combie Road, 300 yards from Higgins
Corners, and also approved of the issuance of a permit for four
stabilization ponds at Lake of the Pines.
The Board met as the Board of Directors of the Nevada
County Sanitation District No. to consider the granting of an
extension to Boise Cascade for acceptance by the District
of the sewer treatment plant at Lake Wildwood.
The Board ordered that Boise Cascade be informed that
they have granted an extension until June 30th, July 1st, the
system will be accepted by the County should it pass the necessary inspection,
Executive Session declared to consider the appointment of
someone to fill the soon to be vacant position of Purchasing
Agent Building & Grounds Superintendent.
Following said Executive Session, the Board unanimously
appointed the position being filled by Mrs. Virginia Marquard
a current employee of the Purchasing Department for many
years,
Meeting called to
present,
The Board adopted Resolution 72-88 (A Resolution regarding
continuing County participation in the State Probation Subsidy
Program).
The Board held a public hearing on the proposed precise
zoning of property located at Truckee and including a portion
of the Tahoe-Truckee Airport, the Brockway Road Area and
the Town of Truckee.
The public hearing was closed, The Board being totally unfamiliar with the property in question expressed the desire to
actually tour the property, especially due to the fact that the
matter-is so controversial that the Planning Commission vote
resulted in a tie vote. Therefore, the Board is to meet at 2:00
P.M., in Truckee at the Government Center to tour the property.
There being no further business, the meeting was recessed
until Monday, April 17th, 1972, 2:00 P.M., in Truckee, California,
