Fa aromas NC sewage backs up into homes There was damage to three houses on Reward street in Nevada City last week when amanhole on the city sewer line became clogged and sewage escaped into the homes, according to Beryl Robinson Jr., city manager. Mrs. Wendell Clark, occupant of one of the houses, said the sewage backed up to a depth of one and a half inches in the hall and two bedrooms of her home, Mrs, Clark described the sewage as gurgling and flowing from the kitchen sink and bathroom "bottles and bottles" of disinfectants in a mammoth cleanup job. Mrs. Clark said hardwood floors buckled and workmen are now laying new floors. However, Mrs. Clark and Robinson agreed that a house occupied by the William Davis family received the brunt of the onslaught. Accordingto Mrs, Clark the occupants were not at home at the time, and when the door was finally opened sewage came out "flowing like a creek." Mrs. Clark said the Davis family has vacated the premises pending restoration of carpets,
